Kick-off meeting of twinning project

The Twinning Project successfully organized its kick-off meeting on the 17th of April at JW Absheron Marriott Hotel Baku. The event was attended by the Minister of Taxes of the Republic of Azerbaijan, EU Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Ambassador of Hellenic Republic to the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the representatives of the Centre of International and European Economic Law (CIEEL), Independent Authority for Public Revenue of Greece (IAPR), the Ministry of Taxes of the Republic of Azerbaijan (MOT), and the mass media.
During the ceremony, speakers and presenters emphasized the importance of the project in terms of creating favourable business and investment climates, optimizing taxation, and further improving the national tax system and the existing cooperation between the European Union and Azerbaijan. It was also mentioned that one of the best mechanisms for preventing the risks of tax evasion in the commercial operations is controlling the transfer pricing (TP).
